We have partnered with Ashton Gate Stadium to deploy a world-first stadia WiFi technology solution.
Ashton Gate is Bristol’s largest stadium, with a 27,000 capacity including 35 meeting rooms. The venue can now open up WiFi access to create a range of commercial opportunities on matchdays. As well as providing a new platform for applications, NetOS® gives programmability and security options to enable consistent, reliable internet access in all situations. This meets end user demand for match days and conference events throughout the year.
The use of NetOS® means that despite large concrete and metal structures, or huge numbers of users on a given matchday, the stadium will be able to deliver high-speed WiFi continuously.
This project is an exciting step for sports stadia worldwide, as large venues look for better access to reliable, high-speed WiFi networks for their customers and own commercial applications.
If your venue has network performance issues or you have visitor number growth plans, our technology can solve your challenges. To find out how, contact us for a demonstration.

Zeetta Networks are partnering with Independent Networks Cooperative Association (INCA) to sponsor their event “Full Fibre & 5G”, delivering opportunities for a nationwide discussion on investment and development into smart digital infrastructure and wholesale networking. The event covers regional, government, and private sector plans, and Zeetta Networks will bring experience from all three areas to their seminar ‘Networking the city’.
Mike Bohndiek, Head of IT at West Ham United, shares his thoughts on smart stadia – and how venues that don’t continue to adapt will get quickly left behind.
A smart stadium can mean a smart business future. The times of fans attending physical events is slowly passing with the advent of new streaming/online consumption channels; typically a more cost-effective method to see your team or event.
Make sure you keep 30th October free: Zeetta Networks are hosting the inaugural Smart Infrastructure event in 2017. The theme of the event is 'Smart Leaders for Smart Venues', and countless industry leaders will be attending at Ashton Gate Stadium to hear experts discuss complex operational issues - as well as plenty of networking opportunities. Zeetta Networks has been invited to present its NetOS®, its Network Virtualization and Slicing technology at the “Software Defined Networks and Network Function Virtualisation” workshop, taking place on the HMS Belfast this Wednesday 21st June in London.
The workshop is organised by the Independent Networks Cooperative Association (INCA), the association of alternative network providers (‘Altnets’) who are building new fibre networks in urban and rural areas across the UK in competition with BT. INCA members such as CityFibre, Hyperoptic, and GigaClear use their own commercial investment to rollout brand new fibre networks and establish close relationships with the communities they serve.
Read why Nick Randall, Zeetta’s Sales and Marketing Director, argues it makes sense for local government to opt for an open source approach to the smart city and beyond.
The smart city is set to grow – and grow at a fast pace – over the next three years. The market size is estimated to increase 19.4% from $312.03 billion in 2015 to $ 757.74 billion by 2020. (Smart Cities Report). Obviously a market of this scale and potential attracts close attention from vendors of equipment and services of all types, especially the larger well-known brands.
Zeetta Networks has won the 2017 Red Herring Top 100 Europe Award for Telecommunications in Europe, an outstanding achievement considering that over 1200 companies across Europe were competing, and only 18 start-ups from the United Kingdom reached the top 100.
The METRO-HAUL consortium, where Zeetta Networks is a partner, has been successfully awarded a €7.78m EU funding to investigate cost-efficient optical metro networks to meet the challenges of 5G backhaul. The bid is a collaborative project comprised of 21 partners representing the “who’s who” in the European Telecoms industry.
Zeetta Networks announced today that it will showcase its innovative Software Defined Networking (SDN) platform in combination with end-to-end performance assurance technology from Accedian at Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona.
