Ashton Gate is Bristol’s largest stadium, with a 27,000 capacity including 35 meeting rooms. The venue can now open up WiFi access to create a range of commercial opportunities on matchdays. As well as providing a new platform for applications, NetOS® gives programmability and security options to enable consistent, reliable internet access in all situations. This meets end user demand for match days and conference events throughout the year.
The use of NetOS® means that despite large concrete and metal structures, or huge numbers of users on a given matchday, the stadium will be able to deliver high-speed WiFi continuously.
This project is an exciting step for sports stadia worldwide, as large venues look for better access to reliable, high-speed WiFi networks for their customers and own commercial applications.

Zeetta Networks has been nominated for the Best Network Software Breakthrough GLOMO Award at the 2018 Mobile World Congress. The GLOMOs have been likened to the Oscars for the mobile industry, highlighting the best and most innovative developments in technology. The coveted nomination is in recognition of Zeetta Networks’ NetOS® platform that allows orchestration of 5G networks through slicing and virtualisation. NetOS® is designed to manage physical or virtual networks and to support multi-tenancy, multi-vendor, and multi-technology, for an end-to-end provisioning of diverse services over a 5G network each with its own performance and resource requirements.
Vassilis Seferidis, CEO of Zeetta Networks, has been elected to the Board of the Independent Networks Cooperative Association (INCA). MEF17 was an excellent opportunity for Zeetta Networks to showcase its leading expertise in the world of SDN, virtualization and network slicing with its leading edge NetOS® technology. Now with new recruit VP of Engineering Nathan Sowatskey on board, Zeetta Networks is set to play a key role in advancing progress in these areas, particularly in working with the MEF to expand their LSO architecture to encompass network slicing, and to help drive certification of network slice services.
Today, Wednesday 22nd November 2017, the Chancellor of the Exchequer in his autumn budget statement announced the release of £500m of public sector funding for the UK’s tech sector. The investment focuses on a range of tech applications from AI to 5G and full fibre deployment. Some £160m of the boost is specifically ear marked for development of the UK’s 5G network. The drive behind the announcement is part of the Government’s desire for the UK to be a world-leading digital economy.
