It is strange to think that it was almost two weeks ago that the Zeetta Networks team attended the Stadium Business Summit in Dublin. The two day event flew by packed with outstanding and thought provoking talks, innovative and interesting stands and vendors, and a great chance to meet everyone who is anyone in the stadia world.
With hundreds of attendees from all over the world, this is the world’s leading meeting for stadia, where owners, operators, and developers of venues around the world come together and hear about the innovations occurring in their industry. They also host TheStadiumBusiness Awards, in which contributors to excellence are rewarded and recognised – including our good friends, Ashton Gate Stadium!
Our Sales and Marketing Manager Nick Randall gave a talk with a message centred on our passion for open, democratic data driven networking specifically our experiences around getting the most data out of a stadium – and then being able to use it to further drive growth and development. For those that were there: don’t use a gun, use an API!
To get access to the valuable matchday data you’ll need to build a networking capable of supporting it, but as stadium WiFi is notoriously difficult and expensive to implement, we at Zeetta have created an alternative: Software Defined Networking-enabled (SDN) ‘bare metal’ technology. We believe that it is the future of stadia technology, and it was encouraging to hear from many stadia that the challenges they are facing could be solved through our innovation.
Through speaking on the main stage and our stand, we met with a huge number of people that are transforming the world’s understanding of how stadia exist and operate. Several exciting relationships have begun thanks to the Stadium Business Event, and we are confident that we will see many of the stadia representatives at Ashton Gate Stadium in October when we reveal the success of our NetOS project there.
