Over the summer we welcomed not one, not two, but 5 new members to the Zeetta team!
Hailing from as far as Spain, we are fortunate to have talented people move countries to be able to join us here at Zeetta, and become part of a team that delivers world-leading and ground-breaking technologies in software defined networks (SDN).
Here is a behind the scenes look at our most recent recruits to join our growing team:
David Plant began his career right here in Bristol. He studied Computing at the University of the West of England before hopping over the water to Cardiff, primarily working on developing Insurance and Retirement Services Software Solutions in various languages – that’s Python and Java, not Spanish and Mandarin.
Someone who does speak impressive Spanish is Belen Vazquez Pastor – but then, as a Spaniard, we’re not that surprised. Her language skill goes beyond the computer: as a student at the Czech Technical University in Prague, she was awarded her degree bilingually. Belen gained valuable experience in SDN at Ericsson for a time, and has since traded the Spanish sun for the Bristolian breeze.
When you write a thesis entitled ‘Proactive and reactive defence against DDoS attacks in a simulated SDN environment’, you’re going to end up working in networks – and we’re just glad that we were able to grab Jorge Paracuellos for ourselves. His time at Ericsson and his studies at la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid have set him up well for the challenge ahead.
Our third and final Ericsson recruit is Javier Valleros, who was deep in prototype development of Big Data applications and Clusters – but we tempted him to design and implement our prototypes. His passion for SDN even led him to take on extra studies in specialist courses as he worked. Some of us can’t leave work at the office!
And last but by no means least, Andrew Smee has swapped working in gaming to playing with networks, and we couldn’t be happier to have him.
We’re sure you will agree that the Zeetta team can only become enriched by the inclusion of these recent recruits, and this is just a snapshot of the impressive talent attracted by our innovative approach to networks and visualisation. Make sure you keep up to date with our progress by getting your ticket to Smart Infrastructure 2017, our event in October right here in Bristol.
