We are involved in a number of national and international projects.

 

Innovate UK project

Zeetta Networks has been awarded a ground breaking £1.8 million Innovate UK contract to deliver a large-scale demonstration of the capability and commercial potential of its innovative NetOS® technology to manage a complex network ICT infrastructure in a flexible, dynamic and cost-effective manner. The company has been working with Ashton Gate Stadium, to deploy NetOS® throughout, as a ‘First-of-a-Kind’ deployment of an open networking technology managing the high-density communications network of a modern stadium.

UK Government's 5G Hub Testbed 

This 5G Testbed, originally announced in the Spring Budget 2017, is the first step of an ambitious plan to put Britain at the forefront of the next wave of mobile technology, potentially adding up to £173 billion to the UK economy by 2030. Experts from leading 5G research institutions at Bristol University, King’s College London and the University of Surrey, have been awarded £16m to develop a world-class 5G technology test network which will see academic expertise and commercial leadership brought together to trial new 5G technologies.

Zeetta’s contribution in the project involves the deployment of NetOS® and its network virtualisation and slicing capability to control the optical transport and Wi-Fi wireless access network in the Bristol-part of the 5G testbed.


Horizon2020 Projects

A total of 262 small and medium-sized companies have been selected for funding under the latest round of Horizon 2020's SME Instrument. The total amount to be distributed to the companies under both Phases of the programme is €114.237 million. We are part of three projects under the Horizon2020 banner:

REPLICATE: a €25m Smart Cities project, the REPLICATE (REnaissance of PLaces with Innovative Citizenship And TEchnologies) Project aims to demonstrate Smart City technologies in energy, transport, and ICT addressing urban complexity.

METRO-HAUL: a €7.78m EU funding to investigate cost-efficient optical metro networks to meet the challenges of 5G backhaul. The bid is a collaborative project comprised of 21 partners representing the “who’s who” in the European Telecoms industry.

5G-PICTURE: a new EU project totalling almost €8m to advance new generations of 5G wireless infrastructure supporting new business and service models addressing vertical markets. This is a collaboration between leading tech and telecoms firms, such as Huawei and Telecoms Italia, and prominent research institutions in Europe such as Universities of Bristol and Dresden.
