Vassilis Seferidis (CEO)

Vassilis has more than 20 years experience in the Telecommunications and Consumer Electronics (CE) industries mainly in Strategic Business Planning and Development roles. Before co-founding Zeetta Networks, Vassilis was Director of European Business Development for Samsung Electronics responsible for driving revenue growth and strategic development of the company’s Consumer Electronics business in Europe. Prior to Samsung, he held senior management positions with British Telecom, Toshiba Information Systems, Philips Electronics, and British Standards Institute. During 2006-2009 he was the CTO of QIO Systems Inc., a pioneer in wearable electronics based in New York City. Vassilis holds a BSc and MSc from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a PhD from Essex University and an MBA from Cass Business School, London. In 2011 he was included in Euro50, a list of Europe’s 50 most influential people in Broadband &Telecoms industries.

 

Reza Nejabati (VP of Advanced Engineering)

Reza is one of the Co-Founder's of the company and an industry expert in SDN and NFV. He is also Chief Professor of the High Performance Networks Research Group in Bristol. He has been instrumental in the definition of the product for Zeetta and has also created the business model. Whilst attracting significant venture capitalist investment for the company, he has also built the development and engineering team for the company. As an academic he has written or co-authored over 200 peer reviewed papers and several standardization documents. He is a research associate in ONF and currently involved in several UK EPSRC and European Union funded research projects.  

Mayur Channegowda (Chief Scientist, SDN)

Mayur joined Zeetta Networks from  the High Performance Networks Group (HPNG) at University of Bristol. Before joining HPNG he was working in IBM on Network Routing & Switching technologies. Over the last five years he has been involved with Software Defined Networks and OpenFlow and in particular its implications on optical networks. Since 2011 Mayur has been actively involved in several FP7 European ICT Projects related to SDN and OpenFlow including OFELIA, ALIEN and FIBRE and he has co-/authored numerous papers on optical SDN.  Mayur received his MSc degree from the University of Essex in 2010 and his PhD (on Software Defined Networking) from the University of Bristol.

Tasos Vlachogiannis(Senior Engineer, SDN)

Tasos, graduated from the department of Informatics and Telecommunications of University of Athens, Greece in 2008 and he received his Masters degree in Telecommunications from University College London in 2009. Since 2011 he has been member of the High Performance Networks group of University of Bristol. His main focus of research is on Software Defined Networks and Network Virtualization and especially on their implications in optical networks.

Graham Hudspith (Senior Software Engineer)

Graham studied Computer Science at the University of Warwick, graduating with a BSc in 1985. Since then he has dabbled in the areas of transputers, element and network management systems, wireless local-loop, 3G UMTS, distributed debuggers and 3G/LTE small cells before joining Zeetta in May 2016.

Luke Murray (Senior GUI Developer)

Luke studied Computer Science at the University of Bristol, graduating with an MEng in 2013. He then went on to develop web applications for a government department until joining Zeetta in June 2016.

Leonardo Milleri (Senior Software Engineer)

Leonardo graduated in 1994 from the department of Electronics, University of Genoa, Italy. Since then he has worked in many SW projects, covering the role of java developer and team leader. In detail, in 1995 he joined the C.N.R. for developing SW environments for parallel calculation in a cluster of workstations. From 1996 to 1999, he worked as a SW consultant for Sintesi S.R.L. From 1999 to 2016, he worked for Ericsson Telecommunications, for the development of network management applications and SDN controller (opendaylight architecture), before joining Zeetta in August 2016.

 

Daniel Gheorghita (Senior Software Engineer)

Daniel studied Computer Science at Sapienza University of Rome, graduating with a MSc with distinction in 2014 (The thesis was "Design and implement of a Load Balancing Algorithm for a Clustered SDN Control Plane"). He then worked for Imagination Technologies developing testing applications. Being passionate about SDN, he joined Zeetta in June 2016.


Nick Randall (Sales and Marketing Director)

Nick joined us from Accedian where he was Director of Sales Channel Partners EMEA. His main skills and attributes reside in successful business development and relationship building between system integrator's and channel partners. Nick has been instrumental in the strategic decision making and forward moving vision of the company. Using his industry experience to target our products and services into the market place to date he is a key and valuable member to the team.

Alan Holt (Senior Wifi/ Network engineer)

Alan Holt is a WiFi Network Engineer with Zeetta Networks. He was formally a lecturer and researcher at the University of Waikato in New Zealand primarily focused on embedded systems and wireless community networks. He worked for AT&T for 13 years.
Alan has BSc and Ph.D degrees in Computer Science and Telecommunications, respectively. 
Alan is the author of three books, including, "802.11 Wireless Networks, Security and Analysis". He has published over 20 papers and articles in peer review journals and industry magazines.

Azahar Machwe (Senior R&D Software Engineer)

Azahar finished his Ph.D. in Machine Learning from UWE, Bristol in 2007. He is primarily a Java developer who loves to innovate. He also enjoys client interaction and making technology accessible to a non-technical audience.

His first job was developing an innovative Search and Document Classification system for the Environment Agency based on the popular Lucene and LingPipe frameworks.

He then went on to work for NetBoss UK on their Network Service Assurance and Impact Analysis software. There he successfully completed several projects with the largest telecoms network in EMEA with significant client interaction. He then switched over to Sutherland Global Services to establish and lead their Cognitive Sciences - Centre of Excellence before joining Zeetta Networks in 2016.

He enjoys working on personal projects in Machine Learning/Data Analysis and when not on his computer, loves to read books on Economics and Finance.

Stuart Martin (Senior Project Manager)

Stuart joined us from Hewlett Packard Laboratories from a senior Network engineering background. He is a specialist in designing and delivering secure network solutions. Experienced across a large spectrum of platforms from Cisco, switches and firewalls through to H3C and Fortigate. Stuart thrives across all stages of the project life cycle, from research and development to Operation's delivery. 

He is the key point of contact at the moment for our Test bed project over at Ashton Gate Stadium, where he is co-ordinating the delivery of our "First of a Kind" deployment.


Crispin Dent-Young (Principal Architect & Engineering Lead)

Crispin has spent 24 years developing networking, starting out with Token ring switching with Madge Networks, through GPRS and 3G at Lucent Technologies before settling on IP routing at Cisco where he worked on the core forwarding information base for IP (CEF) including adding support for IPv6.  From there he became interested in various challenges that would later become associated with SDN, working on solutions for driving a huge variety of  distributed forwarding planes from a centralised control plane before moving on to Brocade where he worked on introducing MPLS and VRF on the 5600 vRouter product. 

He now leads the Zeetta software development team as well as wearing other hats within the company from project management to strategic decision making.

Alan Gould Project Management Consultant

Alan has over 25 years experience with BAE systems, he has delivered more than 60 projects in technology, product development, business improvement and organisational change. He has developed and deployed "real world" project management processes to improve business performance and manage complex portfolio's.

Alan has been instrumental in acquiring significant UK government investment for Zeetta and is a valuable consultant from an project managerial point of view as well co-coordinating financial aspects of all projects that Zeetta have on board at the current time.

James Hill (Operation's Manager)

James joined Zeetta after previously working in the recruitment industry. He brings a versatile range of skills to the table here. Firstly co-coordinating the exponential recruitment plan that continues with Zeetta's growth, as well as managing the many logistical and operational aspects of the day to day running.

James has taken on a progressive role within the company as well, contributing to the business development of the company and working within the Sales team to secure ongoing client relationships in the Smart Stadia and wider Networking industry.
