Vassilis Seferidis


Vassilis has more than 20 years' experience in the Telecommunications and Consumer Electronics (CE) industries mainly in Strategic Business Planning and Development roles. Before co-founding Zeetta Networks, Vassilis was Director of European Business Development for Samsung Electronics. In 2011, he was included in Euro50, a list of Europe’s 50 most influential people in Broadband & Telecoms industries.

Joan A Garcia Espín

Director of Product Management

Joan is experienced in telecommunications with strong focus on productization and delivery of novel networking technologies. With a MSc in Telematics Engineering in 2007 and his Master in Business Innovation in 2010, Joan has worked both in enterprise R&D and commercial environments, and been invited to collaborate on international projects such as Bristol Is Open (UK), Scytl (Spain), and i2CAT Foundation (Spain).

Nathan Sowatskey

VP of Engineering

An extremely capable and experienced technology leader, Nathan is an extensive solution and systems engineering experience with Fortune 100 companies and startups in telecommunications and finance. Nathan is an excellent communicator and natural leader of top performing multi-cultural technical teams, from the cloud through to network automation, programmable infrastructure, IoT, and DevOps.

Mayur Channegowda

Chief Scientist

Mayur joined Zeetta Networks from the High Performance Networks Group (HPNG) at the University of Bristol. Before joining HPNG, he was working in IBM on Network Routing & Switching technologies. Since 2011, Mayur has been actively involved in several FP7 European ICT Projects related to SDN and OpenFlow including OFELIA, ALIEN, and FIBRE, and he has co-/authored numerous papers on optical SDN.

Crispin Dent-Young

Software Architect

Crispin has spent 24 years developing networking, starting out with Token ring switching with Madge Networks, through GPRS and 3G at Lucent Technologies before settling on IP routing at Cisco where he worked on the core forwarding information base for IP (CEF) including adding support for IPv6. He now leads the Zeetta Networks software development team, from project management to strategic decision making.

Ian Teasdale

VP of Sales & Marketing

Ian's 25-years experience within international technology sales started at SAGEM Group in France. He then joined Alcatel Lucent where he played a pivotal role in developing global account activity, and he also drove sales of telecommunications products and key senior relationship development in the UK and Ireland for TE Connectivity. Most recently he was responsible for EMEA at DragonWave Inc, a specialised IP microwave manufacturer.


David Merrifield

Marketing Director

David has over 30 years experience within marketing communications. He has a BSc in Psychology and started his career in London with market research agency Harris Research, before relocating to Bristol to establish a Top 50 UK design and marketing consultancy, helping to develop and deploy communications strategies for Orange, 3, 118118, Computerworld and other telecoms and tech businesses.

Reza Nejabati

Reza is a co-founder of Zeetta Networks and an industry expert in SDN and NFV. He is an Associate Professor in the University of Bristol and Head of its renown High Performance Networks Research Group. He has been instrumental in defining the company's technology strategy and strategic partnerships. Whilst attracting significant grants and investment for the company, he has built Zeetta Networks' engineering and R&D teams, and pioneers SDN for optical transport networks.

Dimitra Simeonidou

Dimitra is a leading academic in the field of Optical Networks, a pioneer of Future Internet Research and Experimentation (FIRE), an influential researcher in the fields of Grid and Cloud Computing, and a founder of Transport Software Defined Networking. She has chaired a number of international conferences and committees, and has 11 patents, several major contributions to standards, and authored over 400 publications, many of which have received best paper awards.

We have grown exponentially since our foundation in 2015, and continue to expand with talent joining us from all over the world. Now with almost 30 people in our new top floor offices in Bristol, we overlook our former office amongst the 80 innovative ventures at Temple Meads.
